Objectives

The IT Officers Coordinating Unit renders university-wide ICT services to faculties, centers, and units.

Head of Unit:

1. Supervising all IT Officers.
2. Interface with faculties, departments, IT Officers and Director COMSIT.
3. In collaboration with Training Unit, organizing programmes for capacity building of IT Officers on ICT innovation for better performance in their operations.
4. Visiting IT Officers in their location base.
5. Reporting issues from faculties to the Director.

IT Officers: 

IT Officers’ duties are as highlighted below:

1. Assisting students to resolve password issues on both school portal and email.

2. Downloading the students attendance sheet for examinations.
3. Preparing documentation for Faculty board and senate meetings
4. Downloading the students’ records or statistics for preparation for clearance and examinations.
5. Organization of trainings and awareness programmes for staff and students on the use of the school portal, and learning management system (LMS). 

6. Preparing final year students’ data and passport for NYSC mobilization, ID Card and certificate.

7. Resets the students’ password and Passport on the undergraduate portal.

8.  Designs Google Form to capture students’ data for production student ID Card.

9. Troubleshooting of internet downtimes to solve minor internet challenges in the Faculty.

10.  Installation of software packages such as operating systems and Office applications.

11. Troubleshooting to solve computer hardware problems including maintenance and repairs.
